Money On Our Minds

Money on our Minds is a student consultation on economic wellbeing and financial capability within Personal, Social, Health and Economic education (PSHE education). Governments, regulators, pundits and parents are all telling us that financial education should become part of school life if the next generation are to avoid future economic crises, but what does financial education really mean to children and young people? The pupil voice is important in shaping education programmes and in 2009/10 pfeg (Personal Finance Education Group) South East and Healthy Schools South East decided to consult students in the South East, aged 11 – 17, about what money means to them, and how it should feature in their education.
