Secondary competition
My Money Values (what money means to me)
The My Money Values competition has now closed. But you can still use the lesson plans below and invite pupils to produce a piece of art or photography that expresses what money means to them.
They will begin by exploring what money means to them in different contexts, both small scale (e.g. family and community) and large scale (e.g. consumerism and globalisation). They can then prepare a unique piece of 2D or 3D artwork to communicate their feelings and ideas.
You could use the lesson plans below to run your own competition and tell us all about it!
How to get started
- Download the following PDFs to look through:
- Complete Lesson plan 1 with your class.
- Before completing Lesson plan 2 with your class, photocopy the pupil section of the Competition entry forms – here you will find some questions designed to make your pupils think about their design and explain why they chose it.
- Complete Lesson 2 with your class (which includes completing the artwork). Ask your pupils to complete the questions from the competition entry form.
